Bluebell meadows bursting a velvet hue,
Seen from afar amid the orchard leaves:
Serenity lies in that velvet hue,
Exhibiting beauty from a distance.
Shimmering heat atop a cars metal roof,
Distorted view through the shimmer head on.
Like a desert oasis seen on the horizon,
Hours maybe days since water passed crusted lips.
Hair caught in the wind and curves that tease,
Elegance and class from across the street.
From afar – amid orchard leaves – from a distance –
Head on – on the horizon – from across the street.
Appearances differ when viewed from afar
Than when close and you know what you see.
